I'm a Sucker for a...Sucker.
Remember my Good Stuff/Baby Announcement post? (If you missed the baby announcement part of that post, read only the red, bold words.)
Well, my very thoughtful brother in-law went hunting on the internet and found Chupa Chups for me!

A lot of Chupa Chups, in a lot of different flavors!
Yes, the strawberries and creme flavor is as good as I remember!
Thank you, Drew!

Aslynn Meets Her First Princess
Back in December Aslynn and I went to Disneyland with Arvel, Stefanie and Barbie. I have tons of pictures of that day, but the picture progression of Z meeting her first princess makes me smile every time. I think that these pictures deserve their own post.
Aslynn walks right up to Jasmine and gives her a hug.
Jasmine talks to Z about her ABC shirt.
Aslynn talks back.
Everyone takes a picture together.
In every picture, with every character, Aslynn looks like she is being forced. The truth is, in the minutes leading up to the meeting of the character and the taking of the picture, she was bouncing up and down with joy and excitement. Who knows why she suddenly puts on her serious face when it is really time to smile?!
Z strokes Jasmine's arm to reassure herself that the princess is, in fact, real.

The Verdict Is In
Mecham baby number two is a...

GIRL
The doctor got several pictures of our baby's "lady parts" so there is little room for question. Still, for all you boysayers out there, if I get another ultrasound, I will have the ultrasound tech double check just for you!
We are very excited to have another girl! And to be honest, I am not as nervous now because I know what to do with a girl; I am one, I've already birthed one and she has lived to the ripe old age of two and is still kickin'!

His Happy Face
Luke's parents bought us a grill for Christmas. They told us this by putting a picture of the grill in a stocking, because you can't really wrap a grill.
This is Luke's face when he found the picture.
If you couldn't tell, we (Luke in paticular) really wanted a grill.
Thank you, family!

What Are We Going to do With Her?
Me: "Aslynn! Let me take a picture of your pretty hair!"
Z: "Okay!" Proceeds to do a bridge pose and not show me her hair.
I can't believe her hair is long enough to braid!
(Of course, according to the princess, I am not allowed to braid her hair; only her aunts are allowed to.)
I remember when I was freaking out because she was losing her newborn hair and I thought that she was going to go bald!

It took some tricky camera work (and bribing) before I got the picture below.

I'm Too Sexy for My Shoes
Aren't they BEAUTIFUL?!
Stefanie got them for me because she loves me.
I have always wanted a pair of red, sparkly shoes...and I don't even like the Wizard of Oz.
Stefanie bought Aslynn a pair of red, sparly shoes too. Aslynn's aren't high-heels though and therein lies the issue. Z likes my shoes more. She liked to wear my shoes around the house - Yes, she knows how to walk in high heels...Yes, she isn't even two yet - and threw a fit if I chose to wear the shoes.
(We did wear our fancy shoes to church; it took a long time before Z was okay with the fact that I had to wear the "big" shoes and she had to wear the "little" shoes because my feet couldn't fit into the "little" shoes.)
My sexy shoes are now in hiding. We have to teach Z how to properly take care of shoes before she'll get my shoes back.
