Sweet-Love,
I promise I had the best of intentions in writing you a letter each month. I have really got to work on my follow through. When you grow up you need to be a better person than I am, okay? Promise?
*5 1/2 months. You love to grab the camera!*
These past few months have been full of firsts!
We started feeding you solid foods. Your first few bites involved a funny face and a shudder after every bite. When it comes to baby food, your favorite dinner is ham, pineapple and rice. You won't eat green vegetables. You are okay with fruit but you can't eat a lot of it at one time. You really like to eat whatever everyone else is eating. You've had a taste of pretty much meal we've eaten. In the morning I try to feed you a breakfast baby food - like rice cereal and mango - but you prefer to eat what your sister is having. Your favorites are pancakes and waffles.

For snacks you like puffs, yogurt melts and applesauce out of the "to-go" package because you can suck the tastiness right out of it.
As of a week or so ago, when you sit in your high chair you like to prop your left foot up on the tray. You are so weird.
*See?*
In December I tried taking some herbal supplements to increase my milk supply. It worked, but not for long. As of a couple of weeks ago, you only nurse in the morning and even then, not for very long. You try to nurse in the silliest positions which tells me that you're bored. Let's be honest, it is pretty painful trying to nurse and squirming baby. I am sad and frustrated that I didn't nurse you as long as I wanted to.
On December 12, your first tooth started to pop through your gums. We thought it was just one tooth but SURPRISE! both of your bottom teeth came through at the same time. You are a teething terror! You cry and whine and don't sleep well at all. Right now you have a top side tooth coming in. You are handling this one tooth better than the other two. You're not nearly as whiny.
You have started doing this high-pitched scream that sounds like you are being mortally wounded. You do it whenever you want attention or to tell us that you are upset about something. It freaks me out, so I always come running. You're not even a year old and you already know how toget exactly what you want from me (and everyone else for that matter).
Around six months you started sleeping through the night. GLORY HALLELUJAH! If you do wake up at night, your daddy rushes in and puts the bink back in your mouth and you go back to sleep.
By the way, you are a professional bink-chucker. In the car, you throw it on the floor. In your bed, you throw it wherever. It is always an adventure trying to find it, especially in the dark.
You can clap! We say, "Yay!" and you smile so big and clap. When you first started doing it, you were so proud of yourself; you would smile and watch your hands. I am so proud of you too!
You love shoes...you love to eat them. It grosses me out. Yuck!
Also around six months you started soldier crawling. You would use your arms to drag and your toes to push yourself around on the floor.
You progressed to a weird sort of spazzy crawl.

As of a couple of weeks ago you are a perfected crawling fool! You are getting so fast. You don't crawl on your hands and knees; you crawl on your hands and feet like a bear.
Your favorite place to crawl to is the kitchen. In your room, you love to crawl up on to the bottom shelf of your changing table and play there.
You've started pulling yourself up on anything stationary. You especially like to pull yourself up on people. If someone is sitting on the floor, you are using them as a personal jungle gym. Soon you'll be walking! WATCH OUT WORLD!
You have become quite the snuggler, and you snuggle almost everyone. You nestle your head on the person's shoulder and just rest there. It is so wonderful!
Changing your diapers and getting you dressed, however, is not so wonderful. Actually, these things are my least favorite thing to do every day because you are such a pill-face! You wiggle around like crazy, roll over and try to crawl away. GAH!
Every day I thank Heavenly Father for sending you to our little family. You and your sister bring your daddy and I so much joy!
*8 months.*
I love you, baby!
