Celebrating Our Freedom...Out in Nature

*Uncle Alex trying to teach Aslynn to walk at the cabin. Note the amazing floors my mother insalled.*

For the Fourth of July we went to my parent’s cabin up at Yellow Jacket lake in Oregon. We love it up at the cabin.
*I bought this outfit to try and keep the mosquitoes from eating Z. It was cute and on sale. Everyone but me calls it her clown outfit.*

We went to the Fourth of July breakfast that the Burns ward put on. Oh, man can they make some good French toast. *She loved to swin the hammock.*

Luke decided that he wanted to climb this really big, really old tree in the “backyard.” He got himself all equipped and started climbing; he didn’t get very far before it started raining – complete with thunder and lightning. We made him come down for his own safety.
*Sorry that it is sideways.*

While on a firewood gathering trip Luke found a 158 year old tree that had kind of been stump-a-fied. He brought it back to the cabin and made me a throne. It says “Luke *heart* Bre” on the back and “7-4-09” on the front. He’s such a stud!
My throne now sits out by the fire pit for all to admire. Luke also used the chainsaw to make this sign for the cabin.

I laughed so hard at the video. I am glad he didn't make it very far or else Aslynn would definitely be the only child. I am impressed with the chair luke! very nice. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! love you!

No way is little Aslynn trying to walk...I'm in denial! I love your throne it's sweet. Man, you guys have been pretty busy the past few months. I bet it feels good to be moving in to an apartment by yourselves. Now you can have your naked day!
