I spend a lot of time looking at women's eyes. More specifically, how they do their makeup.
My name is Breanna Mecham and I am jealous of people who look amazing because they know how to apply eye makeup properly.
Eyeshadow and I do not get along. We don't understand one another. 99.4% of the time, when I am "finished" applying all the make-up, the end result is a testament to the fight the eyeshadow and I got into. In these fights, there is no winner. I look ridiculous and the eyeshadow is ashamed to be on my face.
Don't even get me started on my lack of eyeliner skills. Eyeliner woes make eyeshadow woes look like I know what I am doing.
Mascara is easy. Mascara and I have reached an agreement to like one another because, let's face it, a monkey could put on mascara. Plus, after 10 minutes when the redness and tears have disappeared, no one can tell that I poked myself in the eye with the mascara wand.
Anyone else have these issues? I would like to think that I am not alone.

yeah i have the same problem. i dont wear it anymore cuz logan says i look funny....... which is because i lack those skills :(
I lack those skills as well, which is why I now only wear mascara and occasionally swipe a bit of eyeshadow on -- but I don't bother with contouring or shadowing. Personally, I think most people look great with just mascara and lip gloss on. And heaven knows you don't need a lot of makeup! :)
Amen sista! I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to makeup either. I do the same thing - I totally examine eyes; especially of people from magazines and tv. I'll be like "okay that doesn't look too hard, I think I can pull it off", and then I am no where close. Anyhow, I think that your makeup looks beautiful! You don't even need makeup! By the way, I love reading your blog. It is always so entertaining and well written. You should be a newspaper columnist or something. Good luck with those pregnancy cravings!
I am the same way! How have we never talked about this? I found out I have hooded eyes, so they just never look as good as the models...sigh.
