I am all about "To Do" lists. This is my ultimate list; it gives me things to accomplish every day. I consider my day successful if I feel like I was a good mom, wife, friend AND I got everything done on my list.
I work out for an hour every day. For an exercise video, I was doing the 30-Day Shred (I know, not an hour long...), but now that I am growin' a baby, I am doing a pregnancy video specialized for each trimester (and it is an hour long). I have noticed that, on elliptical days, the hour goes by a lot faster if I watch Gilmore Girls or a movie while I trudge along.
I don't deep clean each room every day; that only happens once or twice a week, depending on the room. I do make sure that the room is clean, neat and organized. I think that a clean house, one I am comfortable in (and if someone came over, I wouldn't be ashamed to have them see the inside of it) is part of what invites the Spirit into a home.
Dinner calendars rock my world! I love them! When I know what I am making for dinner for the week, it makes shopping a lot easier. I shop with a list. I buy only the things I need. Less food goes to waste. We save more money.
When I get something done, I use its color and mark it on the big calendar. Yellow - scriptures, gray - prayer, purple - exercise, pink - clean, green - dinner and (starting this month because I really need to be better at it) blue - drank 64 + oz. of water.
If I get everything done, I get to mark an X on the day. The fewer things I get done, the less of an X gets put on the day. February looked like this:
Each month I always try to beat the previous month's X score. (If you want to know all my secrets, Feb, had 9 complete X days.)
Obviously, I don't get everything done every single day. (I know there are lots of people out there who would laugh and scorn my pitiful list because of its simplicity.) These aren't the only things I have on my daily "To Do" list. Each day is different and full of different, sometimes random things to do. I always have something to work towards!
I know you probably don't give a flying toot about my day-to-day life, but if I tell you about it, I will be pressured to be better at it. If you actually read through this whole post, you can give me a hard time about my crazy color-coding checklist and all that it entails.

Way to go Bre! I love organization. By the way, what is the name of that pregnancy exercise video? I'm not pregnant or anything, I just wanted to know for the future.
you are my hero! this is going to be my goal someday...in the near future. when I have two crazy toddlers running around and making me go crazy. I think you should next do a blog post with your favorite dinners and their recipes! I need more ideas for cooking!
