When I was in labor with Eleanor (back labor and what I like to call "in-front, right-between-my-hips" labor, alternating with each contraction) I decided to get an epidural. But you knew that already, didn't you?
Anyway, I could move my legs just fine after I got my epidural, but my bum felt like it weighed a billion-million pounds. I couldn't fully adjust my body position without some help. My mom would have to take one arm and my grandma or the nurse would take the other and all together we would move me to a more comfortable seated position. It was all very embarrassing. I changed positions several times because I can't seem to stay in one spot for very long. I blame Luke; he taught me to fidget.
Moving on. One time, while being moved like an invalid, my elbow happened to bump the TV button on the side of my hospital bed. When the TV turned on, the first thing that blared out of it was a commercial that said, (and I kid you not)
"Do you feel like burden to those around you on account of your limited mobility?"
I'm still laughing about it.
