Max
He technically belongs to Luke’s sister, Stefanie, but he lived at Luke’s parents’ house in the backyard. Max never got any real attention because he was so dirty from being outside 24/7.
I’ve always had a soft spot for him, so I decided that we would take him and let him be an inside dog.
First we had him groomed because he was such a ratty, matted mess. He came home from the groomer looking kind of like a rat – not the miniature schnauzer he is. Soon he’ll have his beard back and be cute again.
He has forgotten some of his manners and has been digging under the fence and getting lost, but we’re working on it. He’s great with kids and even lets Z lay on him, play with his face, and kiss his nose.
I like him so much, I have even stopped looking for another dog. Max fills all my doggie needs. :)

Fiyero
We’ve had him for less than a week and he and I are already in love. I saw him at the animal shelter two weeks after we got here and I patiently waited for him to become available so I could adopt him.
He’s a WICKEDly (pun intended) beautiful white, flame-point kitten with barely orange ears and an orange tail. He also has blue eyes!
He and Max are still getting used to each other, but I think that they will become friends in the future.
Aslynn is her mother’s daughter and she is already in love with Fiyero too. He is so patient, gentle and tolerant of Z, I really couldn’t have asked for a better kitten. First thing Aslynn does when she wakes up in the morning is find the “keey.” He is very vocal, so most of the time, if she can’t find him under the bed, Aslynn just calls him until he meows and then she runs around the house trying to track him down. Poor guy gets picked up and hauled around the house all the time – and most of that time he’s purring like crazy. I swear I say “Aslynn! Put the kitty DOWN!” at least 30 times a day because I am worried Z just might “love” the kitty to death.
*If you listen carefully, you can hear Fiyero purring the entire time. He's my "motor" man.*
Maggie/Margret (for when she’s being difficult or when we want her to behave in a more grown-up/speedy fashion)/Marge (for when she is old and Aslynn’s driving her)
Stefanie had the honor of naming her. She’s a 2010 Hyundai Elantra and we are so happy to have her in the family!
Luke takes Jane to work and so Aslynn and I were stuck at home all day, every day. Now we’re not!
Maggie also has A/C (Jane does not) which we have been living without for almost three years. A/C is a requirement in the desert. It’s only June and already 109 degrees.
My favorite part about Maggie is her XM radio. Broadway musical channel = loud, happy singing in the car for Bre and Aslynn!

Congratulations on your new additions!(And you didn't even have to birth them.) I'm jealous you can have pets and a second car and a new house and what-not. It feels like you guys are on to the next stage in life and we're falling behind. Then again, you guys do have a 2 yr headstart on us;^D I love the video and miss z already like crazy:( And you. And Luke. And now you have new members of your family I haven't even met that I can miss. I'm starting to sound pathetic, so I'll cut it off right there. Invest in a suit like Mr. Freeze has in Batman Forever.
OHMYGOSH that video...melted my heart! I've now decided that I will get baby animals for all of my children to tote around the house. Z is SO CUTE.
