My dear, good friend Jenny tagged me to answer some questions. Normally, I wouldn't respond to tagging, but I love Jenny. She is so far away and I don't live right next door anymore and we can't practically live at each other's apartments anymore and talk about everything or sometimes, nothing at all. All I can do is call her and/or read her blog and let her know that I am always here for her, even if we are far apart and I will do whatever she needs me to do for her - even if that includes answering some questions. Does that make sense?
1. What is your worst fear?
Before I became a mother, I would say balloons. They still scare the crap outta me (I am SO afraid they will pop and kill me. Loud noises make me burst into tears.) but now I would have to say that it is something bad/violent/horrific happening to my family. I have nightmares about scary things happening to Z the most.
2. What one object (not person) makes you the happiest?
Our bed. It's a wonderful place full of snuggling, long talks (sometimes to myself after Luke has fallen asleep and I don't realize it/care), book reading, sleep and - ever since Z came along and made it the "cool" place to hang out - tickling, hiding and giggles. It's my haven from my messy house. I make the bed every day.
3. What is your LEAST favorite food?
Potato salad. Yuck.
4. If you could be famous for something, what would you want it to be?
In all honesty? Cooking. I love to cook. I love to share my food and the recipes. I love to teach people how to cook. I love it when people enjoy the food I make. People love food. I am a firm believer in family dinners with every one all seated around the same table. Those dinners involve talking, laughing, discussions, teaching - things that sometimes don't get done enough when a family is busy. "No love is more sincere than the love of food." I love food.
5. What is your favorite fairy tale/bedtime story?
Urgh! I read way too many books. I can't even think of any good fairy tales/bedtime stories off the top of my noggin, right now. All I can think about is all the fiction I've read and wonder if those can be considered fairy tales? I read before bed, so anything I read could be considered a bedtime story, right? Ella Enchanted is based on Cinderella, and is one of my favorite books. Does that count?
6. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Oregon. Central or Portland/Lake Oswego area.
7. What's your favorite car?
Mini Cooper. I will never have one though because, let's face it, once you have a family they are no longer practical. I do have an entire photo album full of Mini pictures that I've taken. I used to keep a camera in my car for just such an occasion - back in the day when they weren't so prevalent.
8. What is the most random hobby you have?
I'm a blog stalker (admitting it is the first step) and I do it a lot. I love to read blogs.
Here are my eight questions. YOU (meaning anyone reading this blog) are free to answer them or not to answer them...but I really would love to read your answers. No pressure!
1. Who do you remember but you don't think remembers you? Why do you remember this person?
2. What is your favorite body part?
3. If your house was on fire and everyone (including pets) was already outside safe, and you had time, what ONE thing would you grab on your way out of the house?
4. What is your favorite quote? Why do you love it?
5. What book (not scripture) have you read over and over again? How many times? Why?
6. What is your favorite form of entertainment? Why?
7. What is the hardest thing you have ever done?
8. What person has made the most positive or negative impact on your life? Why?

Remember your birthday when I bought you a big balloon bouquet? I thought I was really showing you how much I loved you, not realizing that balloons scared you that badly. I sure did feel terrible about that! ;(
